Bio
WSTR are a pop punk band from Liverpool, England, formed in 2015. Combining the energy and attitude of classic ’90s and 2000s pop punk with a modern approach to songwriting, the band have built a reputation for catchy melodies, driving guitars, huge choruses and high-energy live shows.
The band first gained attention with their debut album, Red, Green or Inbetween, released in 2017. The record introduced WSTR’s signature blend of fast-paced punk energy, infectious hooks and relatable lyrics, helping them establish a dedicated following both in the UK and internationally. Their second album, Identity Crisis, followed in 2019, building on that foundation while showcasing a more developed and personal side to the band’s songwriting.
WSTR’s music draws heavily from the experiences that make pop punk so relatable — relationships, heartbreak, growing up, frustration and the ups and downs of everyday life. Their songs pair those themes with energetic guitars, melodic vocals and choruses made to be sung at full volume.
Away from the studio, WSTR have built a strong reputation as a live band, touring extensively across the UK, Europe and beyond and appearing at venues and festivals alongside some of the biggest names in punk and alternative music. Their shows are loud, energetic and built around the connection between the band and their audience.
With a sound that balances nostalgia with a contemporary edge, WSTR have become a well-established name within the modern pop punk scene. For fans of big guitars, infectious hooks and honest, relatable songwriting, WSTR continue to deliver the energy and spirit that has defined them since their formation.
