Rising Pop/R&B Singer and Songwriter GITAA has released the visuals for her latest single “Sweet Like Summer”. Recommended if you like Sade, Jorja Smith or Giveon, the video is directed by film director and Vogue Fashion Editor Rushka Bergman - watch HERE.

Born in a seaside town along the Baltic Sea in Latvia, GITAA experienced multiple culture shocks once she arrived Stateside as a young girl. Her family’s first destination was the Bronx, followed by a milk farm in Pennsylvania, and eventually Detroit, where GITAA spent the greater part of her childhood. Her mother was in a girl band in Russia in her 20’s, her father an accomplished guitarist and composer in Eastern Europe. Music was not only GITAA’s destiny; it was her birthright.

Over the years, GITAA honed her craft, finding local studios to work out of and sing hooks for up and coming hip-hop artists. After a spell in London navigating through their music scene, GITAA relocated to Los Angeles to begin a career in songwriting. However, her desire to be a singer/songwriter herself shifted to the top priority. By 2018, she released the critically acclaimed single “Pain,” followed by “Stay” in 2019, and “Feel Something” in 2020. With each loosie single, GITAA inched closer and closer to becoming the artist she wanted to be. It all came together in 2021, as she readied her debut EP. “So Far Away” was the catalyst, as the woozy track signaled the rising star’s return. With “Sweet Like Summer” it’s her formal arrival.
