Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” Featured in New ‘F1’ Movie Trailer

Shelter artist & legendary rock band Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” roars onto the official trailer of F1, speeding into cinemas this June 25, 2025.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick, Tron: Legacy), F1 stars Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula One driver who raced in the ’90s but was forced to retire after a devastating crash.
The ending bass line of “The Chain” served as the theme for the BBC’s Formula One coverage from 1978 to 1996 and 2009 to 2015. It was also featured in Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, with director James Gunn stating that the song was “most deeply embedded into the fibers of the film.” Additionally, it appeared in the 2017 biographical sports drama I, Tonya, starring Margot Robbie.
